A man died Friday morning after rear-ending a tractor-trailer that was parked on the shoulder of the road.
Shortly after 4:30 a.m., officers responded to a crash on State Route 68 (Lappans Road) and Prosperity Lane in Williamsport. After an investigation, they determined a tractor-trailer was parked along the shoulder of Lappans Road when a Dodge Stratus hit the rear of the truck.
Chad William Walden, 33, was the driver of the Dodge and was declared dead at the scene. The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured.
Lappans Road at Governors Lane Boulevard was closed for several hours after the crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
