The victims of a devastating apartment fire in Montgomery County have received an outpouring of donations.
Casa de Maryland has received so many donations they have take over their entire office and had to put some out on the side lawn. They are now asking people to stop donating things and start donating their time to sort and deliver donations.
"It's a community that doesn't have a lot to start with and they've given whatever they have. It's been amazing and we're so thankful," Fernanda Durand from Casa de Maryland said.
The American Red Cross says they're moving away from mass assistance and are going to start focusing on families one-by-one and what each family needs to get through this crisis.
What the victims really need is money. Donations can be made to the Montgomery Housing Initiative or to the American Red Cross.
