After President Donald Trump declared the flooding that hit parts of Maryland May 27 and 28 due to severe weather, federal funds will be available in state and local recovery efforts, the Federal Emergency Management Agency said Tuesday.
The funds will be available to state level agencies, as well as local governments and eligible nonprofit organizations performing emergency work, repairs, and reconstruction in areas of Baltimore and Howard counties affected by flooding.
Additional designations may be made by the state if further damage assessments warrant them at a later date.
