The Worcester Bureau of Investigation is following up on a robbery that happened at a Wine Rack in Ocean City, Md.

On Thursday, at around 2:45 a.m., Worcester County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrived at the Wine Rack located at 12827 Ocean Gateway West Ocean City, Maryland after receiving a call about an armed robbery. The deputies conducted a K-9 search with no results, so they turned the case over.

After doing that, the Worcester Bureau of Investigation's detectives learned that a 6-foot-tall, medium built African American man, who was wearing a blue New Balance sweatshirt and a gray bandana over his face entered the Wine Rack with a butcher knife. The man directed the store employee to the cash registers and proceeded to take an undisclosed amount of money. Then, he fled the scene heading east.

Investigators are reviewing video surveillance from the Wine Rack, but they are still asking anyone with information about the robbery to contact the Worcester Bureau of Investigation at (410) 632-1111 or the Lower Eastern Shore Crime Solvers at (410) 548-1776.
