Absentee ballot request deadlines are approaching for both mail and online ballots.
The deadline to request an absentee ballot for mail delivery is Tuesday, Nov. 1. The voter's local board of elections must receive a completed absentee ballot application by 8 p.m. if mailed, and 11:59 p.m. if submitted online, by fax or by email.
The deadline to request an absentee ballot to complete online is Friday, Nov. 4. The request must be received by the voter's local board of elections by 5 p.m. if mailed and by 11:59 p.m. if requested by email, fax or online.
If a voter misses the deadline, an absentee ballot request must be made in person at a local board of elections.
To request a ballot online, voters must have a Maryland driver's license of MVA-issued ID card.

The general election is Tuesday, Nov. 8. Early voting runs until 8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 3.
