A day care worker was arrested for the child abuse of a 3-year-old boy in Upper Marlboro Thursday.
25-year-old D’Aira Nichel Thompson has been charged with Second Degree Child Abuse and Second Degree Assault.
According to investigators, on October 18, 2016, Thompson tried to restrain the victim in a chair.
She told the boy to lay his head down and slammed the boy’s head on the table.
The victim suffered a contusion to the right side of his head.
Thompson was the victims teacher.
