A tractor trailer and Amtrak train collide in Gaithersburg.
Montgomery County Fire officials say the incident happened at E. Diamond Avenue and Chestnut Street on Monday around 4:40 p.m.
According to an Amtrak spokesperson, the truck was ''obstructing the tracks'' when it came into contact with Amtrak Capitol Limited train 29 headed to Chicago from Washington D.C.
Hazmat crews worked to place a diesel leak from the tractor trailer under control.
The train was also leaking fuel and had been ordered to evacuate.
According to Amtrak and the Montgomery County Fire Department, no injuries were reported among the approximately 163 passengers and crew members on board.
