As of 8 p.m. Tuesday Amtrak service has resumed between Washington, D.C. and Baltimore.
Passengers can expect 15 to 20 minute residual delays throughout the area.

At approximately 7: 45 p.m. Amtrak announced that its service between Washington, D.C. and Baltimore is suspended.
The press release sent by Amtrak says that service is suspended due to police activity. Amtrak says it is working restore service as quickly as possible.
