ALDI opens first store in Laurel Thursday

Aldi opened their first location in Laurel Thursday. 

The grocery store hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony in honor of the event. The first 100 customers were offered gift cards during the a Golden Ticket giveaway. 

The Laurel store is part of the $3.4 billion ALDI investment to expand to 2,500 stores nationwide by the end of 2022.  

Frederick division Vice President, Jeff Baehr said, “ALDI is specially designed to save customers time and money. People will quickly see and experience the many ways we deliver high-quality food at affordable prices. That’s why we do everything we do.” 

The new store is located on Baltimore Avenue in Laurel.
