8 indicted by Frederick County grand jury for distribution of heroin, Fentanyl

Eight people were indicted by a Frederick County grand jury for distribution of heroin, Fentanyl and other drugs. 
 
The Frederick County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Investigation Section, the Frederick Police Department's Drug Enforcement Unit, the Frederick County State's Attorney's Office and several other agencies this year launched a large-scale criminal investigation into the distribution of heroin and Fentanyl in Frederick County after a large number of overdoses. 
 
Over the last few months, authorities seized  heroin, Fentanyl, cocaine, marijuana, crack cocaine, various prescription narcotics, about $4,500.00, 18 firearms and cars.
 
Eight of the suspects were indicted June 10. They include Colby Lewis, 24, Ronald Dinges, 56, Alexandra Kastner, 27, Alante Williams, 23, Deandre Coplin, 27, Jocelyn Appleby, 26, Brett Demeza, 35 and Brett Carpenter, 35.
 
A ninth suspect, Lauren Gardner, 32, was charged in connection with the investigation in May.
 
Alexandra Kastner is also wanted by the Frederick Police Department and Frederick County Sheriff's Office in connection with the investigation. Anyone with information regarding Kastner's location is asked to contact the Frederick Police Department at 301-600-2101.
