2 arrested after app finds stolen items

Montgomery County Police say they recovered $20,000 in stolen electronic equipment after the owner found the items offered for sale on a cellphone app. 
 
A Germantown man reported on Christmas that three cameras, a lens, high-end earphones and two laptops had been stolen from his car, officers said in a news release on Tuesday.
 
Police say the owner searched for the items on an app that circulates pictures of items for sale and found one of the cameras and the earphones being offered.
 
Authorities say the owner arranged with meet with the sellers, and notified police.
 
Officers went to the meeting place, posed as the buyers, and arrested the sellers when they showed them the stolen items.
 
Twenty-year-old Casey Mulloy and 27-year-old Kyle Pestun were arrested and charged with theft.
