A 13-year-old female juvenile has been charged with making a false report.
According to officials, charges stem from a February 16, 2018 incident that took place during a school dance at Leonardtown Middle School.

It was reported to the St Mary's County Sheriff's Office that a male chaperone, who was not a school employee, inappropriately touched a female student during the event.
Detectives assumed control over the investigation. Through several interviews and review of surveillance footage, they say the evidence did not support the allegation.
The juvenile has been released to a parent and is awaiting a disposition from the Department of Juvenile Justice.
