A 13-year-old girl has been released to a guardian after a stunt caused a middle school evacuation.

On Tuesday, police responded to Easton Middle School after a replica bullet and threatening note was found in the female restroom.

The replica bullet turned out to be a novelty cigarette lighter.

Further investigation lead detectives to an eighth grader who admitted to committing the act. Easton Police say the student was remorseful and had no intent to harm anyone.
