COLUMBIA, Md. — A woman’s body was found near a wood area in Columbia, Howard County Police said Monday.

Police said there were currently no signs of foul play in the woman’s death, but an investigation is under way. An autopsy will be performed to determine the woman’s cause of death and to establish her identity.

Police responded to the 6100 block of Dobbin Road at about 4:46 p.m. Sunday, where the body was found. The woman was not dressed appropriately for the weather, police said, and it is believed she was exposed to the elements for an undetermined period of time. An investigation is ongoing.
