A Westminster man hurt in a June 25 crash has died, police said.
Twenty-eight-year-old Shawn Shifflet died Monday at the hospital from injuries sustained in a June 25 accident in Woodbine.
Monday afternoon, police were called to Newport Road at the Howard/Carroll County line for a report of an accident. An investigation found Shifflett had been riding on the exterior of his friend’s 1990 Mercury Grand Marquis when he fell off and hit the road. Police said it did not look like Shifflett was hit by the car.
He was flown to Shock Trauma where he was pronounced dead late Monday.
The driver has not been charged.
