COLUMBIA, Md. — Howard County held its 5th Annual Veteran’s Day Parade on Sunday in Columbia.
It was a joint effort with Columbia Association and the Howard County Veterans Foundation to honor and pay tribute to all veterans and active military service-members.
The parade started at Merriweather Post Pavilion and went to the Downtown Columbia Lakefront where a brief ceremony took place.
"It is quite an honor to be here to celebrate our veterans. It is a beautiful morning in Howard County because of their sacrifice," said Howard County Executive Calvin Ball.
According to Dr. Ball, the county is home to more than 20,000 veterans.
