Howard County police are investigating after a landscape worker found skeletal human remains in a wooded area in Columbia.
On Friday, at a little after 3:10 p.m., officers arrived to the 12200 block of Green Meadow Drive and confirmed that the remains were, in fact, human. They transported the remains to the office of the Chief Medical Examiner so that an autopsy could be done.
No additional information, including the identity of the deceased or any indication of how long the remains have been there, are known at this time.
However, this investigation is ongoing.
