Residents displaced following late night Hanover house fire; no injuries reported

HANOVER, Md. — According to the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services, some residents were displaced following a Thursday night fire.

At around 10:45 p.m., firefighters and paramedics were called to the 6400 block of Anderson Avenue, in Hanover, for a reported house fire. Crews arrived and noticed that fire was showing from the first and second floors of the home.

However, the fire was knocked quickly and all occupants were safely evacuated before the fire department's arrival.

Aid was provided by Baltimore County Fire Department, Anne Arundel County Fire Department and BWI Fire and Rescue. No civilian or firefighter injuries were reported and the American Red Cross is assisting the displaced residents.

The HCDFRS Office of the Fire Marshal is currently investigating this incident.
