Pubs host fundraisers for Ellicott City disaster relief

Ellicott City is still in need of help after deadly flooding destroyed businesses and homes two weekends ago.

On Tuesday, Aug. 9, two pubs will host fundraisers to support United Way's "#ECStrong" disaster relief fund.

Kelsey's Irish Pub will donate 10 percent of sales made between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. to the fund. The pub is located at Normandy Shopping Center on 8480 Baltimore National Pike in Ellicott City.

MaGerk's Pub of Federal Hill is hosting a family-friendly event from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. With a $10 donation at the door, customers will receive Flying Dog beers, a light buffet and drink specials. On top of those benefits, those who donate have the opportunity to participate in a 50/50 raffle with funds raised benefiting recovery efforts in Ellicott City.

MaGerk's Pub is located at 1061 S Charles Street in Baltimore.
