Eight days before the Preakness Stakes, Friday marks the start of the Balloon Festival.
It opens at the Howard County Fairgrounds at 4 p.m. with a bunch of concerts.
At 6:15 p.m., flights in the balloons begin.
A ride is $250 a person.
The festival continues through Sunday.
