Craig White, was sentenced to two consecutive terms of life in prison without the possibility of parole in the murders of his mother and father.

Glen and Linda White were found dead in their home in Laurel on September 1, 2016. There was concern when the Whites didn't show up to a meeting on August 31 and police were called for a welfare check.

Howard County Police found Glenn dead in his bedroom and Linda dead in a basement bedroom. Police identified their son as a suspect and used cell phone tracking to find him. He was arrested at a fast food restaurant in Columbia a few hours after his parents' bodies were discovered.

A jury convicted Craig White last September on two counts of first-degree murder.

In recommending the maximum penalty yesterday, Deputy State’s Attorney Kim Oldham stated that Craig White posts a “particular threat to public safety,” and asked, “if the lives of his own parents meant nothing to him, what value will he place on a stranger’s life if he one day walks the streets a free man?”
