Laurel milk plant set to close, impacting 72 employees

LAUREL, Md. — A milk plant in Laurel is set to close according to the Maryland Department of Labor's website.

The Maola plant, located on 8321 Leishear Road, submitted a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act (WARN) notice with details about the closure.

The plant is set to close between June and December, impacting 72 employees, the notice said.

We reached out to a representative from Maola for a comment, but haven't heard back.
