LAUREL, Md. — A milk plant in Laurel is set to close according to the Maryland Department of Labor's website.
The Maola Local Dairies plant, located on 8321 Leishear Road, submitted a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act (WARN) notice with details about the closure.
The ingredients plant will close on June 1 and the full plant will close on December 31.
"This step reflects how our processing network and milk supply needs have evolved over time," Amanda Culp, spokesperson for Maola Local Dairies said.
