Howard County Public Schools will pay Acting Superintendent Dr. Michael Martirano an annual salary of $270,000.
The salary will be pro-rated for the term of May 4 through June 30. It is equivalent to $43,448 plus $800 for a monthly car allowance and $120 a day for temporary housing.
The Board will also need to pay $225,000 by May 31 as part of former Superintendent Renee Foose's settlement. The entire package is worth nearly $1.65 million.
