Howard County was the first in the area to get hit by the snow.
Emergency management started making storm preps days ago ahead of the storm, and the roads were already treated from the dusting Wednesday night.
Trucks were back out Friday afternoon to pretreat the roads, and 125 plows and operators were out over the course of the storm.
County Executive Allan Kittleman is urging residents to be patient. Primary roads will get priority, but Kittleman says even those roads may not be clear until Sunday afternoon.
People who live in the county can call Howard County's non-emergency number to report any storm-related issues.
It will be staffed throughout the weekend. In emergencies, call 911.
