Governor's request for disaster declaration in Ellicott City approved

Howard County Executive Kittleman says the U.S. Small Business Administration has approved the governor's request for a disaster declaration for flood-ravaged Ellicott City.

Kittleman says in an email Wednesday that the SBA approved the declaration for Howard County.

The rebuild continues in Ellicott City from the devastating flood.

On Wednesday, Kittleman and Gov. Larry Hogan toured Main Street, where businesses and homes were destroyed and hundreds of people have found themselves out of work.
