After a massive amount of rain and historic flooding Sunday afternoon, Governor Larry Hogan has declared a state of emergency for Ellicott City.

The Governor has spoken with Howard County Executive Allan Kittleman and is heading to the area to see the damage.

Maryland Department of Emergency Management is being called in to assist in any way possible. Numerous other state agencies will be providing support.
