A Howard County McDonalds is closed after a smoky fire damaged the building.
Fire fighters were called to the McDonalds at Long Gate Shopping Center in Ellicott City around 8:30 a.m. Sunday.
When crews arrived thick smoke was coming from the attached PlayPlace and firefighters began an aggressive attack. Authorities said accessing the fire was challenging and crews had to take out a big portion of the ceiling to make sure the fire was fully extinguished.
No one was hurt in the fire.
The cause is under investigation.
