Howard County Police are investigating a hit and run crash that killed a woman on Tuesday evening in Elkridge.

According to police, 54-year-old Huma Rani Isfahani was crossing the 6800 block of Dorsey Road when she was struck by what appeared to be a dump truck driving toward Anne Arundel County.

Police say the truck fled and Isfahani was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials were able to obtain doorbell surveillance video of the truck driving on the road just moments after the crash.

The truck is believed to be missing a piece of the front bumper.

Police are asking anyone who recognizes the commercial dump truck with a white cab pulling a trailer with a bobcat on board to call 911.

After both directions were closed for several hours, Dorsey Road was reopened around 11:30 p.m. between Douglas Legum Drive and the county line.
