An early morning fire in Ellicott City caused damage to a home Monday.
Howard County police were called to a house fire at 1:07 a.m. in the 10300 block of Kingsbridge Road and Woodville Lane.
Officials said neighbors called 911 after seeing flames coming from the home. The residents were out of town at the time of the fire.
According to fire crews, part of the house collapsed in the rear of the home at 1:22 a.m.
Officials said nearly 75 firefighters, including crews from Baltimore County, were on the scene to battle the flames.
No one was injured during the fire.
The cause is under investigation.
