Dog rescued from fire that displaced three people on Thanksgiving

Emergency crews rescue a dog from a fire that displaced three occupants on Thanksgiving.

Howard County Fire and EMS say the incident happened around 9:20 a.m. in the 10000 block of College Square in Columbia.

The fire reportedly originated from the kitchen.

A dog was rescued from inside the home and provided oxygen with a mask made especially for pets, that was donated to the fire department by MD Invisible Fence's Project Breathe. The dog is said to be in stable condition.

No one was injured. However three residents were displaced and are being assisted by the Red Cross.

It's unclear what caused the fire.
