An 81-year-old man died after being involved in a single-vehicle crash in Glenwood, Md., Monday, Howard County Police said.
Leroy Peyton Truehart, of Cooksville, Md., died at the hospital Monday. He was taken to Howard County General Hospital in serious condition after his 2009 Toyota Rav4 struck a tree, police said.
At about 2:52 p.m. Monday, police say Truehart was heading north on Route 97 near Cattail Oaks when his Toyota left the roadway and struck the tree. No other vehicles were involved in the crash. Police are investigating what may have caused Truehart to leave the road prior to impact.
