17-year-old motorcyclist in critical condition after serious collision in Clarksville

HOWARD COUNTY, Md. — A 17-year-old motorcyclist is in critical condition after a serious collision in Clarksville.

At about 7:00 a.m. on Thursday, a 2017 Toyota Highlander was making a left turn from Route 108 westbound onto Great Star Drive when it collided with a 2014 Harley Davidson motorcycle traveling eastbound on Route 108.

The 17-year-old was taken by helicopter to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center where he is listed in critical condition.

The 52-year-old driver of the Highlander was uninjured and remained at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.

Police say Route 108 in the area of Great Star Drive was partially closed for approximately two hours.
