UPDATE: Howard County Police say Jaidyn Alford has been located in a nearby jurisdiction unharmed.

Howard County Police are asking for help finding 13-year-old Jaidyn Alford.
Investigators believe she went to meet a friend at an unknown location on May 15, and her family says she has not been in contact since. Alford was last seen at the end of the school day at Patuxent Valley Middle School in Savage on Tuesday.
Investigators are not sure if she left the school on foot or if she was picked up. Police say there have been numerous reported sighting of Alford but they have not been able to find her.
Alford is 5'6" tall with a slim build and braided hair. She was last seen wearing a gray sleeveless shirt and dark basketball shorts. She may also be wearing a silver necklace with the word 'yay'.
