Two people have serious injuries after they were involved in crashes only an hour apart from each other.
Harford County Emergency Services were called to the first crash on Emmorton Road between Edgewood Road and I-95 around 4:30 on Friday afternoon. When crews got to the scene they found the driver was trapped. Rescuers had to use the 'Jaws of Life' to help the seriously injured man.
It took crews around 10 minutes to remove the man and transfer him to a hospital. The man is in serious, but stable condition. Maryland State Police are investigating the crash.
The second accident was on I-95 near mile marker 75.7 between exits 74 and 77. Around 5:40 crews were called to the area after reports of a car flipping over a guardrail. The woman in the crash was transported to Shock Trauma.
How the accident happened and the extent of her injuries have not been released at this time.
