ABINGDON, Md. — A tractor trailer jackknifed into the woods off I-95 during Thursday's rush hour, causing hours of lane closures and traffic delays.

It happened on the southbound side just prior to MD-24 in Abingdon.

The driver was taken to an area hospital with minor injuries.

A Harford County hazmat team also responded for fuel clean up that leaked from the truck's saddle tanks.

Two right lanes of I-95 south were closed for hours following the incident, finally re-opening by 9:30 p.m.

It's unclear at this point what caused the truck to go off the roadway.

No one else was reportedly injured.
