Police say an emergency at the Hickory Avenue parking garage in Bel Air Monday morning was an apparent suicide.
Bel Air police and members of the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company responded to the parking garage around 8 a.m. Monday, the police department wrote in a Facebook post. The person was pronounced dead at the scene.
It was the third suicide reported at the parking garage in recent years.
On October 15, 2014, 43-year-old Danyelle Filiaggi fell to her death from the parking garage. Her family went on to start the Friends R Family Foundation to raise awareness to the signs of mental health.
Police say there are informational signs in the parking garage with numbers to call in times of crisis.
