HARFORD COUNTY, Md. — Thanksgiving is right around the corner and some students celebrated early on Tuesday.
All week, students at the High Road School of Harford County prepared for the meal and on Tuesday morning they cooked all of the food.
The High Road School serves students with disabilities and individuals education program students. At the school, emphasis is put on learning life skills like cooking to help students prepare for life after high school.
"We're building life skills through every part of the process to get to where we are today. So helping clean, helping set up the tables, the chairs and even the culinary skills in order to help prepare the meal."
Students also learned about customer service by serving parents, students and teachers.
