ABERDEEN, Md. — Harford County Fire and EMS officials say that one patient was exposed to a chemical on Aberdeen Proving Ground.

The patient is now being evaluated at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center and there is no immediate threat to the community.

A spokesperson at the hospital gave ABC News the following statement on this matter:

“We have treated one person at UM UCMC and they have been decontaminated once at the base and then at the hospital and are in stable condition. It’s not clear what chemicals they were exposed too.”

At the moment, Upper Chesapeake Medical Center is not accepting any patients.

Aberdeen Proving Ground also released a statement via Facebook and said that no chemical was exposed at the facility.
