Harford County residents may hear or see noise as a result of scheduled nighttime testing at the U.S. Army Aberdeen Test Center, Aberdeen Proving Ground officials said Monday.
The U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command will be running tests from Sept. 17 through 21, and again from Sept. 24 through 28. The test are not hazardous to residents and are "a necessary part of the Army's Testing mission," Proving Ground officials said.
Since the noise cannot be contained to just the test center's grounds, every measure to mitigate such disturbances has been implemented, officials said. Weather and noise readings will be monitored continually during the testing.
If anyone in the surrounding communities is concerned about testing at the Aberdeen Proving Ground, they can call 443-861-6727 at any time.
