No farm is left behind in Harford County. Especially not Jarrettsville Nursery, where owner Boyd Saulsbury passed away in February due to cancer.

The farm needed help getting ready for Christmas, so the Harford County Farm Bureau posted a message on Facebook requesting volunteers.

Friends and neighbors came out to help Sunday morning.

"It's very overwhelming, it's kind of unexpected," said Dana Saulsbury, the wife of the late owner. "Most of these farmers were just finishing up their harvest yesterday and today should've been their day off, but instead they're here helping us set up for Christmas."

There were jobs for everyone to do -- ranging from skilled to non-skilled.

"We've got people out in the fields mowing, we've got people working on roadways, people setting up posts; I mean, it's a lot," said Brandon Saulsbury, Boyd and Dana's son.

The family is extremely thankful to the community -- not just because of the help they had preparing for Christmas, but also for the help they've gotten since Boyd died.

"All the local farmers helped me out getting my tractors running, help me set up new spring equipment, just stuff that I'm slightly familiar with," Brandon said. "I just couldn't have done this year without everybody's help. Seeing everybody out here that's done so much for me. It means the world to me."
