BEL AIR, Md. — A four inch high pressure gas line breach in the area of the Upper Chesapeake Medical Center is causing some traffic Tuesday afternoon.

Harford County Fire officials say the gas line was struck by a contractor, closing West MacPhail Rd between Tollgate and Route 24.

Details are limited at this time, but officials say the hospital is working with the fire department and BGE, and says there is no direct threat to the hospital or residents.

Officials say it will take a couple hours to clear the scene.
