Harford County Fire and EMS have reported a gas leak on Moores Mill Road near Southampton Middle School.
Officials say this is a serious lead, a four inch gas main was struck.
Parents picking their children up should report to Broadway, contact the Howard County Sheriff on location, who will then allow you to use the pathway stairs to the school.
Bus rides are being coordinated between Harford County Public Schools and HCSO.
All agencies are using the best methods in releasing students from school safely.
The school is being monitored by BGE.
