HARFORD COUNTY, Md. — Caught on camera!
Maryland just had its first verified bobcat sighting in Harford County.
In September 2025, a private landowner recorded video of the bobcat recorded on his property and sent it in to the Susquehannock Wildlife Society.
According to the Susquehannock Wildlife Society, there have been several other reports of the cat, but none have been backed up with evidence until now.
"Bobcats are highly adaptable predator species that play a crucial role in helping regulate prey populations like rodents, rabbits, and other small mammals. The presence of a Bobcat is a good indicator of healthy biodiversity. This is a reminder that wildlife is full of surprises," the wildlife society's post said.
