Disabled man's wheelchair taken in Aberdeen

ABERDEEN, Md. -

An Aberdeen disabled man’s wheelchair was taken in front of his home. Aberdeen Police were called to the man’s home on Defense Drive around 12:30 p.m. Friday when he told them he left it on the sidewalk in front of his house an hour earlier.

When he came back outside a half hour later, it was gone. Police are unsure if someone may have thought it was abandoned by the owner or if it were an intentional theft.

The wheelchair is described as having a reclining backrest with a blue felt seat and backrest with a white seat cushion. The leg rests had been removed.

Anyone who may have information is asked to call police at 410-272-2121.
