STREET, Md. — The Harford County Sheriff's Office said a teen is dead after a single-vehicle crash early Friday morning in Street, Md.

Officials said deputies reported the scene of the crash at 1:35 a.m., on Poole Road in the area of Cedar Church Road. At the location, deputies found a 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe overturned in the northbound lane of Poole Road.

The Sheriff's Office identified an occupant of the Tahoe as 19-year-old Jordan Frederick Maughan of Joppa. Maughan was pronounced dead on the scene. The driver, 28-year-old Damien Alec Myers of Havre De Grace, was taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview for treatment.

Investigators believe Myers was traveling southbound on Poole Road when the SUV ran off the right side. The Tahoe then struck a tree, before stopping on the driver's side in the roadway.

The Harford County Sheriff's Office Crash Team is leading the investigation said evidence suggest alcohol and speeding were contributing factors.
