Matt Barnes wrote to ABC2 Tuesday to let us know that last week's fundraiser at Greene Turtle raised over $1,000 for his family. He wanted to thank everyone who came and supported his family.

Matt and Dyanne Barnes are a Harford County couple. Dyanne is undergoing treatment for her third round of Stage 4 breast cancer. Matt is getting laid off from his job as a sales representative of building materials for a Baltimore County company.

There was a fundraiser for the family at the Greene Turtle in Bel Air last Thursday. After hearing about the fundraiser on ABC2 News at 11, one man drove to the Greene Turtle in his pajamas and dropped off a check for $50.

They were concerned what would happen to their family and their insurance when Matt was laid off. Good news came through Tuesday-- Matt's accepted a job that has good insurance so Dyanne can continue treatment without having to overwork.

Matt and Dyanne want to thank to the community for their continued prayer and support.
