Missing 90-year-old man and daughter found safe after silver alert issued

OXON HILL, Md. - UPDATE: According to Howard County Police, an elderly man and his daughter have been found safe after a silver alert was issued.

Alex Travis, 90, was driving with his daughter Lisa Travis, 53, to their home in Southern Avenue when he exited off I-95 South onto Route 100 Eastbound around 5:15 a.m. on Monday. Travis' son told police he was driving in front of them and thought his father was taking a different way home, but he has not been seen since. 

Travis was driving a light blue 2009 Lincoln Town Car, MD tag 6917DA. Police believed the pair may have traveled to Virginia and into the Rockville area since Monday. 

The family says Travis may be confused and in need of medication. 

Alex Travis, a 6'2" black man who weighs around 175 pounds, has gray hair, a beard, and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a light blue coat, brown turtleneck, and blue jogging pants.

Lisa Travis is described as a black female, 5'5", 245 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a brown raincoat, black sweater, and blue leggings.
