A Harford County Public Schools spokesperson says C. Milton Wright High School will have additional support on hand for students and staff on Friday.

According to the Harford County Sheriff's Office, shortly after 2pm, a vehicle traveling south on Route 543 had come to a complete stop and was waiting to make a left turn onto Crescent Knoll Drive.
Moments later it was rear-ended by another vehicle, pushing it into the path of a school bus.
Consequently, the driver of the vehicle, a 17-year-old boy, was flown to a local hospital. The passenger of the same vehicle, a 16-year-old girl, died.
Authorities say a 39-year-old man who was driving the striking vehicle, along with his passengers, was taken to a local hospital.
No injuries were reported by any of the students on the school bus. They were later moved to another school bus.
This investigation is still ongoing.

Emergency responders are on the scene of a crash involving a Harford County Public School bus on Fountain Green Rd at Crescent Knoll Dr in Bel Air.

According to the Harford County Sheriff's Office, the crash also involved two passenger vehicles.
Eight people were taken to the hospital, two with life-threatening injuries.

Neither of the people with life-threatening injuries had been on the bus, though some students on the bus were reported to have minor injuries.
The school system sent the following message to families of students involved in the crash:
"Good afternoon. This is Kyle Andersen, Public Information Specialist for Harford County Public Schools, calling on behalf of C. Milton Wright High School Principal Bryan Pawlicki. This afternoon, bus 651 was involved in a collision on Route 543. Multiple students reported minor injuries and are being transported to University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health. Families of those students are being contacted by school staff. The remaining students on the bus are being returned to C. Milton Wright High School. If your student was on bus 651 and you do not hear otherwise, please plan to pick them up at the school. Thank you."
Rt 543 remains closed in the area of the crash.
