1 taken to hospital after apartment complex fire

Fire crews responded to an apartment fire in the 1000 block of Jessica's Court in Bel Air Tuesday evening. 

According to officials, a civilian, who was in the building when the fire broke out, was taken to a local hospital for treatment. 

Approximately 50 firefighters worked to control the fire. It took about 35 minutes to place the fire under control.

Eleven families are being assisted by the American Red Cross as result of the fire.  A current loss damage estimate for the structure and contents is valued at $1.2 million dollars.
