Police are investigating a deadly double shooting in Aberdeen Monday morning.
Officers responded to the unit block of E. Bel Air Avenue around 3:15 a.m. Monday for a report of shots fired outside of an apartment complex.
Taneisha C. Smothers, 31, of Aberdeen was pronounced dead at the scene. Jumal R. Dudley, 43, was transported by Maryland State Police Medevac to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he died.
No police officers were involved in the shooting. No school or community activities were altered, as investigators quickly determined there was no active shooter threat in the incident.
